Interjet Increases Project Efficiencies with Oracle’s Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management

Interjet Increases Project Efficiencies with Oracle’s Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management Mexican airline transforms and optimizes the administration and execution of key projects

Mexico City—Aug 14, 2017

ABC Aerolíneas, S.A. de C.V., operating as Mexican airline Interjet, has seen significant efficiency gains from using Oracle’s Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management to coordinate, manage and execute key projects.

Interjet’s projects range from the acquisition of new aircraft to the introduction of new routes to the installation of flight simulators. The airline notes that Primavera P6 EPPM’s flexibility to adapt to different levels of project complexity and size has enabled Interjet to increase its efficiency by more than 50 percent among more than 200 projects.

"With the former tools, planning was more complicated and required us to develop complementary tools to show in a very graphic and simple way the status of each project and each responsible person. Primavera P6 EPPM has reduced the effort and time needed to analyze and present results, with benefits for those who manage the projects, those who execute and those who follow up. Oracle’s software has allowed us to contribute in a coordinated and effective way to the development of the company," said Carlos Núñez Brambila, Project Director of Interjet.

With Primavera P6 EPPM from Oracle Construction and Engineering, Interjet now also has the ability to streamline management responsibilities. It can designate one member of the project management team to control the project development, identify project deviations and bring visibility to key stakeholders to make informed decisions. Additionally, Interjet is able to map clear objectives and responsibilities for each project to corresponding specialists based on their knowledge and skills. The result is that resources are leveraged more effectively through closer coordination between various departments and managers.

Oracle’s Primavera P6 EPPM provides the real-time collaboration, visibility and scalability that enable organizations like Interjet to manage projects of any size efficiently and effectively,” said Andy Verone, Vice President, Product Strategy, Oracle Construction and Engineering. “We are thrilled to deliver transformative solutions that are improving project and business outcomes for customers in Mexico and around the world.”

Using Primavera P6 EPPM, Interjet has been able to eliminate:

  • 93 percent of the time spent on the generation of status reports by specific tasks
  • 67 percent of the time spent on work plan updates
  • 83 percent of the time spent on creating new project reports

"The transformation of Interjet, in its processes of planning, monitoring and execution of projects, through an efficient technological platform, is the mission of Oracle. To understand the challenges Mexican companies face day-by-day and to solve their needs with a platform that empowers its strengths is how Oracle contributes to the transformation of Mexico. Interjet has managed through the planning and database management solutions to support the development of projects that drive the growth and presence of the airline nationally and internationally," said Javier Cordero, Managing Director of Oracle Mexico.

Oracle Makes the Most Powerful Database Platform Available on the Industry’s Most Advanced Cloud Infrastructure

Mon, 2017-08-14 07:00
Press Release
Oracle Makes the Most Powerful Database Platform Available on the Industry’s Most Advanced Cloud Infrastructure Oracle Exadata Cloud on Oracle’s next-gen cloud infrastructure further enables enterprises to seamlessly migrate mission-critical database applications and data warehouses, and develop new extreme performance cloud applications

Redwood Shores, Calif.—Aug 14, 2017

Oracle today announced that Oracle Exadata Cloud is now available on Oracle’s next-generation cloud infrastructure. The marriage of Oracle Exadata, the highest performing on-premises and public cloud database platform, with Oracle Cloud’s unique bare metal compute and storage services, delivers a combination of performance and availability for the entire application stack that only Oracle can deliver. These integrated and fully programmable cloud services enhance all stages of application development and deployment through faster connectivity, provisioning, processing, and database access with unmatched technology and industry-leading price performance.

“Oracle’s next-generation cloud infrastructure is optimized for enterprise workloads and now supports Oracle Exadata, the most powerful database platform,” said Kash Iftikhar, vice president of product management, Oracle. “With the power of Oracle Exadata, customers using our infrastructure are able to bring applications to the cloud never previously possible, without the cost of re-architecture, and achieve incredible performance throughout the stack. From front-end application servers to database and storage, we are optimizing our customers’ most critical applications.”

With the increased levels of speed and availability now possible, high-demand applications such as those utilizing real-time targeting, analytics, or personalization now run in the cloud with extreme performance. Only Oracle Cloud Infrastructure offers: self-provisioning of multiple bare metal servers in less than five minutes with each supporting over 4 million IOPS*, block storage that linearly scales by 60 IOPS per GB, and now Oracle Exadata Cloud on the same low latency Virtual Cloud Networks. This combination of features enables applications to run at unparalleled speed. In addition, only Oracle Cloud Infrastructure offers complete compatibility with Oracle Databases deployed on-premises, helping ensure a smooth transition to the cloud, and an efficient hybrid cloud strategy. Oracle Exadata Cloud has expanded its geographical footprint into the US West (Phoenix, Ariz.) region, further enabling organizations worldwide to experience all the benefits of this high-performance system in the cloud, without the burden of managing and maintaining it internally.

"FICO provides real-time fraud, risk management and compliance software solutions to thousands of banks around the globe,” said Doug Clare, vice president for product marketing, FICO. “These clients, including the world’s largest financial institutions, demand the highest levels of solution performance, reliability, and security. When we needed to extend the performance of one of our key compliance risk applications to even higher throughput and resiliency standards, we looked to Oracle, who has been a reliable partner to FICO for many years. In our testing, the combination of Oracle Exadata and bare metal compute running on Oracle’s next-generation cloud infrastructure allowed us to set a new high water mark in performance for this mission-critical application. We were very impressed with both the collaboration and the results Oracle was able to provide, and look forward to bringing these impressive results to our joint clients."

Oracle Cloud Platform Customer Momentum Accelerates Globally

Mon, 2017-08-14 07:00
Press Release
Oracle Cloud Platform Customer Momentum Accelerates Globally Organizations choose Oracle Cloud Platform to accelerate innovation and business transformation

Redwood Shores, Calif.—Aug 14, 2017

Oracle today announced that it is gaining incredible customer momentum across the industry’s most comprehensive cloud business. In FY17, Oracle Cloud Platform revenues were up 60 percent from FY16 to $1.4 billion.  Organizations including Advanced Drainage Systems, ARRIS, Australian Finance Group, Benchmark, Detroit Water and Sewerage, Immofinanz AG, Malmo stad, Marz Systems, Mebrom, Nuvias Group, Pernod Ricard Asia, Telesoft, and Total are the latest to choose Oracle Cloud Platform to speed innovation and deliver best-in-class customer experiences.

Oracle Cloud Platform provides organizations with everything they need to build, deploy, and extend applications and run business-critical workloads in the cloud.  Oracle’s PaaS helps enterprise IT and independent software vendor (ISV) developers rapidly build and deploy rich applications - or extend Oracle Cloud SaaS apps - using an enterprise-grade cloud platform based on the industry's #1 database and application server.  Oracle’s IaaS delivers a comprehensive set of integrated, subscription-based infrastructure services that enable businesses to run any workload in an enterprise-grade cloud managed, hosted, and supported by Oracle.

“Customer adoption of our Oracle Cloud Platform services is at an all-time high,” said Amit Zavery, senior vice president, product development, Oracle Cloud Platform. “We are committed to providing our customers with the most comprehensive, open, integrated, and differentiated cloud platform to help fuel innovation and redefine their businesses.”

Customers Drive Innovation and Business Transformation with Oracle Cloud Platform

"We were able to meet our goals of integration between cloud and on-premise applications, which are core to our business, in a very short time with Oracle Cloud Platform Integration solutions. We not only gained value in short time by reducing test and development time but also will have savings annually in IT expenses,” said Behshad Beheshti, Vice President of Information Technology at ARRIS. "The new system is more secure and agile, and we are excited that this system has met and exceeded our expectations."

“Today's environment is ultra-competitive, driven by nimble organizations born on cloud technology. They are driven to digitalize processes and disrupt the established,” said Andrew McGee, IT Manager, Australian Finance Group.  “To compete we've rebuilt our home loan process on Oracle Process Cloud, Oracle SOA Cloud, and Oracle Content and Experience Cloud.”

“The Detroit Water and Sewerage Department is changing its technology landscape by moving to Oracle Database Exadata Cloud Service in order to lower overall IT costs, and increase deployment flexibility of services to better serve our customers,” said Dan Rainey, CIO, Detroit Water and Sewerage Department.

“Oracle’s PaaS is of tremendous help for Immofinanz AG when it comes to bringing the real estate business from the slow and cumbersome Stone Age into a new digital era by integrating external and internal systems in a seamless and very intuitive way,” said Martin Seiser, CIO, Immofinanz AG.  “Having a heterogeneous environment connected tightly via Oracle PaaS allows us to run an efficient and lean business, which will help make Immofinanz AG one of the top real estate companies in Europe.”

“Oracle Cloud Infrastructure enabled us to dynamically adjust the compute, storage, and network resources to deliver the scale and performance our enterprise customers needed for their mission critical systems,” said Tahir Muhammad, Vice President of Information Technology at Marz Systems. “Oracle Cloud Infrastructure really empowered us to offer dedicated compute horsepower, which resulted in better performance and higher customer satisfaction.”

“With Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud, all the processed information is correct, relevant, and easy to access for all users whenever and wherever they need it,” said Conny Bjorling, Head of Enterprise Architecture, Skanska AB. “It will help to improve decision-making in our global organization.”

“Our Connect platform is core to our business and being able to move it to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure provided performance and availability superior to our own data center,” said Thierry Zerbib CTO, Telesoft.  “Oracle enabled us to get out of the datacenter business and focus on what is truly important to our organization.”

Higher Education Institutions Select Oracle EPM Cloud to Drive Student Success

Mon, 2017-08-14 06:59
Press Release
Higher Education Institutions Select Oracle EPM Cloud to Drive Student Success Academic institutions leverage Oracle EPM Cloud to master increasing industry complexity, innovate, and grow

Redwood Shores, Calif.—Aug 14, 2017

Higher education institutions of all sizes across the U.S. have invested in Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Cloud solutions for the modern planning and forecasting insights. Oracle EPM Cloud customers in higher education include: Lorain County Community College, San Francisco State University, Shawnee State University, University of Maryland, Baltimore, University of Wyoming, and the University System of New Hampshire.

Oracle EPM Cloud helps higher education institutions better align budget dollars with organizational priorities to achieve academic and financial goals. With an intuitive user experience and prebuilt financial functions, higher education institutions can get greater insights from Oracle EPM Cloud’s automated data analysis. Oracle EPM Cloud also helps with statutory and management reporting requirements higher education institutions may have to stakeholders, including state and local governments, governing boards, or accreditation bodies. The increased visibility into funding and tuition changes also helps them become more efficient and effective with public and private dollars.

A public research university located in San Francisco, California, San Francisco State University (SFSU) offers Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees to nearly 30,000 students. SFSU has been live on Oracle ERP Cloud and Oracle HCM Cloud for a number of years and wanted to perform advanced planning and analytics for multiple systems. They selected EPM to help them with reporting on their budget, particularly budgeting for headcount planning for future positions.

“San Francisco State University implemented Oracle EPM Cloud this year with the main goal being to reduce our time sifting through multiple systems and data downloads to just put a simple financial report or analysis together," said Elena Stoian, executive director, budget administration & operations at SFSU. "The budget office was spending more time finding data than conducting any analytical work. With Oracle EPM Cloud running, we are able to easily obtain the necessary financial data and spend more time on understanding and analyzing the numbers. Our end goal is to roll out the solution university-wide as our budgeting tool and we are on track to do just that.”

“Oracle’s cloud-based infrastructure offers the University of Maryland, Baltimore a great solution to help us achieve our goals: to minimize the costs of upgrading and maintaining hardware, while at the same time improving the functionality and security of our financial management systems as the fiscal nature of higher education grows more complex,” said Dawn M. Rhodes, chief business and financial officer and vice president. “We are counting on Oracle’s collaboration to make our cloud transition a success.”

Established in 1986 in Portsmouth, Ohio, Shawnee State University is a public university with approximately 3,600 students. As the state now allocates funding to Shawnee State based on performance and graduation rates, it needed to quickly revamp its business processes to become more cost efficient with tuition dollars. The modern features and functionality of Oracle EPM Cloud enable staff to focus on making good decisions about costs and revenue so the university can continue to provide students with a good academic experience.

“Shawnee State combines high-quality programs with affordable tuition to make college possible for students throughout Ohio and the Midwest, said Dr. Rick Kurtz, president of Shawnee State University. “Achieving greater operational efficiencies helps us remain one of the most affordable options for students. We realized immediate and significant streamlining of paper-laden, manual processes with the implementation of Oracle Cloud Applications for ERP, HCM, and EPM. With a very small contingent of staff and the help of Oracle implementation partners, Drivestream and Navigator Management Partners, Shawnee State successfully implemented the entire system in less than a year.”

“We provide higher education institutions with tools that provide transparency into the costs of higher education so they can offer their students the best academic experience possible,” said Hari Sankar, group vice president, EPM product management at Oracle. “By providing departments with insights on the revenue they generate and the resources they consume, Oracle EPM Cloud can help institutions make more informed decisions about resource alignment for their programs.”

Thousands of New Customers Improve Business and Gain Insight with Oracle Analytics Cloud

Thu, 2017-08-10 11:29
Press Release
Thousands of New Customers Improve Business and Gain Insight with Oracle Analytics Cloud Oracle delivers industry’s most comprehensive cloud analytics platform featuring new self-learning analytics

Redwood Shores, Calif.—Aug 10, 2017

Connecting people to the information they need through the power of cloud technology, Oracle today announced that Oracle Analytics Cloud is experiencing significant growth with thousands of organizations subscribing to the service globally. In addition to tripling adoption over the last 12 months, nearly 75 percent of customers are new to Oracle Analytics Cloud, ranging from small and medium sized businesses accessing enterprise-class analytics for the first time to large organizations modernizing their analytics platforms. Arlington Orthopedic Associates, Outfront Media, and Skanska AB are among those using Oracle Analytics Cloud to identify new savings, help increase their return on investment, and fuel innovation.

In response to this rapid growth, Oracle released a new version of Oracle Analytics Cloud earlier this year, extending its breadth and depth with new capabilities such as user-driven scenario modeling, next-generation mobile and social analytics, and complete customer control over their cloud environment.

“Oracle Analytics Cloud makes it easy for customers to gain new insights and reap the rewards of digital transformation by offering the speed, scale, power, and flexibility organizations need in a single platform,” said Rich Clayton, vice president of analytics product strategy, Oracle.  “Customers clearly understand the value, which is driving strong growth across the board – in our base, with new customers, and in utilization, which is the highest of any Oracle Platform as a Service offering.”

Oracle Delivers Most Comprehensive Cloud Analytics Platform

Oracle Analytics Cloud provides the industry’s most comprehensive cloud analytics in a single platform, including everything from self-service visualization and powerful inline data preparation to enterprise reporting, advanced analytics, and self-learning analytics that deliver proactive insights. With support for more than 50 data sources and an extensible, open framework, Oracle Analytics Cloud gives customers a complete, connected, collaborative platform that brings the power of data and analytics to every process, interaction, and decision.

John Cronin, Group CIO at An Post, explained that Ireland’s postal service chose Oracle Analytics Cloud “to extend and integrate into our existing big data analytics. This modern, agile, platform has enabled us to readily externalize our existing analytics and share insights with key customers.”

As part of this release, Oracle introduced an innovative new service, Oracle Analytics Cloud Day by Day. It is the first enterprise analytic application delivering proactive analytics to mobile devices based on business updates and personal preferences, ensuring the right information is always available, without customers even having to ask for it. Oracle Analytics Cloud Day by Day is complemented by a native mobile application, Oracle Analytics Cloud Synopsis, which enables anyone to visually analyze files on their mobile devices and then combine those insights with business information in Oracle Analytics Cloud Day by Day. The Oracle Analytics Cloud Synopsis app is available for free to all mobile users from the App Store for iPhone and iPad, and Google Play™ Store.

“One of our goals is to help our customers take advantage of cloud analytics,” said Francisco Tisiot, principal consultant at Rittman Mead.  “Oracle Analytics Cloud provides complete and elastic business intelligence, and is customizable and manageable by customers, all in the Oracle Cloud.”

Oracle Announces Oracle Banking Payments Offering

Tue, 2017-08-08 08:00
Press Release
Oracle Announces Oracle Banking Payments Offering New solution built on ISO standards enables end-to-end payments innovation for banks

Redwood Shores, Calif.—Aug 8, 2017

Oracle today announced the worldwide release of its Oracle Banking Payments solution. The offering was built from the ground up leveraging ISO 20022 and is designed to help banks compartmentalize payments messaging, message transformation and payment processing while providing high fidelity insight. Using the Oracle Banking Payments API, banks can also innovate within the Internet of Payments, collaboration with 3rd parties or curate new business models in collaboration with Fintechs.

“As a core banking vendor we have been supporting payments for over two decades. We run payments for over 500 banks across 140 countries. In many instances our applications cater to a significant proportion of a country or a jurisdiction’s volumes, for example we enable over 20% of the inward and 22% of the outward real time settlements in India” said Chet Kamat, senior vice president, Oracle Financial Services. “With Oracle Banking Payments, financial institutions can improve straight through processing, support real-time and immediate payment settlement and reduce time-to-market while driving innovation.”

Digitization has brought banks to a payments arena tipping point where customers demand constant availability for real-time, frictionless payments. Grappling with increasing levels of operational complexities, banks have increasingly adopted siloed structures and multiple messaging standards leading to a disharmonized payment landscape. At the same time, new players are challenging incumbents by offering personalized products, exemplary efficiency and security. To remain competitive, financial institutions need to adopt a transformational approach that addresses the changing dynamics of the payments marketplace.

With Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA), Oracle Banking Digital Experience, Oracle FLEXCUBE, Oracle Banking Platform and Oracle Financial Services Revenue management and Billing, today’s announcement of Oracle Banking Payments makes Oracle the most comprehensive solution provider for the payments industry.

Redwood Shores, Calif.—Aug 8, 2017

These offerings are designed to meet the needs of banks looking to provide real-time, multi-currency, cross border, multi-entity banking services while maintaining high fidelity insight and multi-jurisdictional compliance.

“The constraints of geographies, currencies, time-zones, cash and credit have lesser relevance in the world of digital corporates,” said Chet Kamat, senior vice president, Oracle Financial Services “With the shift towards digital it is critical that banks transform to cater to the emerging needs of their corporate customers. It is in this context that we have developed next generation liquidity and corporate credit solutions. We abstracted our experience of working across more than 140 countries, transforming the business of some of the largest corporate banks globally, to bring together functionalities that enable our customers to be leaders in the corporate banking space”

Press Release
Oracle Empowers Organizations to Meet Accelerating Market Changes with Major Innovations to Supply Chain Management Cloud Six new applications and hundreds of new capabilities enhance the user experience and support demand-driven business models with modern, end-to-end supply chain best practices

Redwood Shores, Calif.—Aug 8, 2017

To help organizations meet rapidly changing business demands, Oracle today announced significant expansions to Oracle Supply Chain Management (SCM) Cloud. Part of Oracle Cloud Applications Release 13, the latest release of Oracle SCM Cloud delivers a comprehensive, next-generation supply chain platform that enables organizations to embrace outside-in demand driven processes and capabilities without the complexities and constraints of traditional supply chain architectures. The new release includes a number of innovative solutions including: supplier collaboration, quality management, maintenance, sales and operations planning, demand management, and supply planning, as well as expansions across all existing solutions.

To successfully manage accelerating technology, business and industry changes, organizations must rethink traditional supply chain systems to make them connected, agile and customer-oriented. The latest release of Oracle SCM Cloud empowers organizations to meet these changing market needs and customer service requirements by supporting demand-driven, aligned and digitally connected business models. As a result, organizations can improve customer service and customer-direct channels, while facilitating increased margins, reduced inventory costs and minimized supply disruptions.

“Business leaders recognize the undeniable benefits of digitizing core business functions like the supply chain, yet many still struggle to maintain outdated supply chain systems that are designed for the problems of the past—not the challenges of the future,” said Jon S. Chorley, chief sustainability officer and group vice president of supply chain management product strategy at Oracle. “Oracle SCM Cloud is built from the ground up for the cloud in order to support current and future business challenges. These enhancements go broader and deeper, demonstrating our commitment to supply chain excellence, which includes delivering the visibility, insights and capabilities organizations need to successfully balance supply and demand across increasingly complex global supply chains.”

With the latest release of Oracle SCM Cloud, Oracle is significantly expanding the industry’s broadest cloud-based supply chain management suite. This release includes the introduction of six new applications and hundreds of new capabilities that support demand-driven business models with modern end-to-end supply chain best practices, as well as user experience enhancements, including infolets. The six new products included in the latest release of Oracle SCM Cloud are:

  • Oracle Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Cloud: Executes strategy consistently with enterprise-wide alignment and visibility for growth and profitability, helping organizations achieve business goals by quickly evaluating and acting on plans. Organizations can benefit from aggregate planning with social collaboration and S&OP process management by aligning sales and operations to enhance decision making using embedded analytics.
  • Oracle Demand Management Cloud: Enables organizations to achieve business objectives by optimizing new product introductions, improving decision making and synchronizing cross-functional demand plans. Organizations can improve demand visibility, manage demand variability and accurately sense, predict and shape customer demand.
  • Oracle Supply Planning Cloud: Adapts quickly to fluctuating demand with the ability to plan for multiple manufacturing and fulfillment strategies in real time, including planning global supply chain activities, monitoring and prioritizing problem areas, and evaluating and executing the actions that will have the greatest impact. Enables greater agility with a comprehensive Genealogy and Installed base system that tracks as-built details and is leveraged by Maintenance Cloud and the new Service Contracts Cloud.
  • Oracle Supply Chain Collaboration Cloud: Supports increased business velocity by enabling organizations to plan, manage and collaborate with suppliers and contract manufacturers more efficiently. It enables organizations to benefit from integrated planning, orchestration, visibility and execution to better transact with trading partners, collaborate on order forecasts and manage exceptions, track production processes more effectively, and gain control over outsourced operations.
  • Oracle Quality Management Cloud: Delivers exceptional product quality to protect organizations’ brands with the combination of collection, analysis and action. Enables organizations to drive best practices from issue to resolution by providing a comprehensive and integrated solution for auditable, closed-loop quality management.
  • Oracle Maintenance Cloud: Enables improved return on capital and lower costs with the ability to better maintain enterprise assets. Helps organizations to achieve efficient and productive maintenance operations. Organizations can leverage complete integration of maintenance, supply chain and financial applications to transform asset maintenance from a complex and expensive process into one that can open up the ability to gain a competitive advantage.

In addition to these new products, existing Oracle SCM Cloud modules have been significantly enhanced. Highlights include:

  • Information-Driven Navigation: All user functions are now accessible through role-specific dashboards and landing pages composed of analytic infolets that highlight issues and direct users to relevant actions.
  • Inventory: Ability to source all requisitions from internal warehouses.
  • Manufacturing: Full support of outside processing.
  • Mobility: A new mobile application to collect and vote on product innovation ideas.
  • Order Management: Integration with Oracle Configure, Price and Quote (CPQ) Cloud and the ability to use the SCM Configurator within CPQ.

Oracle Named a Leader in the 2017 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management Oracle positioned as a leader based on completeness of vision and ability to execute

Redwood Shores, Calif.—Aug 7, 2017

Oracle today announced that it has been named a leader in Gartner’s 2017 “Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management*” report. Oracle believes this placement is another proof point of momentum for Oracle’s hybrid cloud strategy with Oracle WebCenter Sites and growth for Oracle Content and Experience Cloud, part of the Oracle Cloud Platform.

“We believe this placement is further validation of Oracle’s continued momentum in the content as a service space and larger PaaS and SaaS market,” said Amit Zavery, senior vice president, product development, Oracle Cloud Platform. “Without proper tools, organizations cannot manage all types of content in a meaningful way. Not only does our solution put content in the hands of its owners, but it also offers the versatility and comprehensiveness to support a broad range of initiatives.”

According to Gartner, “Leaders should drive market transformation. Leaders have the highest combined scores for Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision. They are doing well and are prepared for the future with a clear vision and a thorough appreciation of the broader context of digital business. They have strong channel partners, a presence in multiple regions, consistent financial performance, broad platform support and good customer support. In addition, they dominate in one or more technologies or vertical markets. Leaders are aware of the ecosystem in which their offerings need to fit.”

Oracle’s capabilities extend beyond the typical role of content management. Oracle provides low-code development tools for building digital experiences that exploit a service catalog of data connections. Oracle Content and Experience Cloud enables organizations to manage and deliver content to any digital channel to drive effective engagement with customers, partners, and employees. With Oracle Content and Experience Cloud, organizations can enable content collaboration, deliver consistent omni-channel experience with one central content hub.

Oracle, SafeLogic and OpenSSL Partner on Next Generation FIPS Module

Thu, 2017-08-03 07:00
Press Release
Oracle, SafeLogic and OpenSSL Partner on Next Generation FIPS Module Oracle dedicates seed funding towards developing FIPS module for OpenSSL 1.1 and calls on corporate sponsors in the FOSS ecosystem to join the effort

Redwood Shores, Calif.—Aug 3, 2017

Oracle, OpenSSL and SafeLogic today announced a seed investment in developing the next generation open source OpenSSL 1.1 FIPS 140-2 module, and called for others to join the effort. OpenSSL is the most widely used and respected cryptographic library protecting data transfers across computer networks.

The Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 140-2 is a joint U.S. and Canadian government security standard for testing cryptographic modules, the objective of which is to ensure the use of strong and validated cryptographic protection in U.S. and Canadian government systems. However, it’s also widely respected and informally accepted by other countries and non-government industries as a strong and trustworthy standard for cryptographic modules used within commercial products. The current FIPS module for OpenSSL has not had a significant upgrade since 2012, during which time encryption standards have significantly evolved. Helping drive the updated OpenSSL FIPS project forward, Oracle has made a $50,000 seed investment to start the project, with another $50,000 to follow based on the progress of the effort.

“Ensuring that OpenSSL maintains an up to date FIPS implementation is critical to helping maintain the security posture of sensitive data on government systems and the continuous safety of millions of transactions performed daily. We as a community have a responsibility to maintain the confidence of users in these systems,” said Jim Wright, Chief Architect, Open Source Policy, Strategy, Compliance and Alliances at Oracle. “Given the complexity of the task at hand, we encourage other software vendors to join us in and donate to this project to deliver a free, open-source FIPS module that will benefit everyone.”

In addition to working closely with the OpenSSL Foundation’s team, Oracle and SafeLogic have worked closely on both investments in and the project framework of this effort. SafeLogic has been actively working with OpenSSL on this project since July 2016.

“This is what we've been waiting for—getting this effort off to a good strong start—and with a few more partners from the community, we'll be on our way toward a complete FIPS 140-2 solution for OpenSSL releases 1.1 and later,” said Steve Marquess, President of OpenSSL Validation Services, Inc. “We're already hard at work on the initial stage of designing a new module to accommodate the many changes in FIPS 140 validations over the past five years, and looking forward to a modernized implementation that can support the community for years to come.”

“Oracle has made a significant pledge, underscoring their crucial role in the future of open source FIPS 140-2 capabilities,” said SafeLogic CEO Ray Potter. “Other sponsors with a vested interest should get in touch with SafeLogic to arrange their own donations, as we are administering contributions to directly fund both the hard and soft costs of the OpenSSL 1.1 FIPS Module project.”

For more information about the project, how to contribute or the future roadmap, please contact OpenSSL@SafeLogic.com.

Seaman Paper Asia Streamlines Business Operations with NetSuite OneWorld

Wed, 2017-08-02 13:00
Press Release
Seaman Paper Asia Streamlines Business Operations with NetSuite OneWorld Wrapping Paper Supplier Speeds Processes and Boosts Revenue 25 Percent Since Upgrading from MYOB

SAN MATEO, Calif. and HONG KONG—Aug 2, 2017

Oracle NetSuite Global Business Unit, one of the world’s leading providers of cloud-based financials / ERP, HR, Professional Services Automation (PSA) and omnichannel commerce software suites, today announced that Seaman Paper Asia (SPA), a leading B2B supplier of lightweight decorative tissue papers for retail packaging and consumer products, has realised significant business benefits since replacing MYOB accounting software with NetSuite OneWorld in 2013. Based in Hong Kong with two locations in China, and one in Vietnam, SPA relies on NetSuite OneWorld to manage its mission-critical financial processes, distribution, inventory and order management, and customer relationship management (CRM) as well as multi-currency transactions in U.S., Hong Kong, and Singapore dollars and the Euro. Since deploying NetSuite OneWorld, the company has reduced the time needed to manage key business processes by half, and has seen a double-digit increase in top-line revenue.

With its previous MYOB system, SPA struggled with limited reporting capabilities and inefficient double-entry of data. Additionally, the company could not easily scale and lacked the CRM and international capabilities it needed for growth. SPA selected NetSuite OneWorld to gain the scalability and flexibility it.

“Our goal is to be a truly global supplier, but we wouldn’t have been able to sustain our business on MYOB,” said Sam Jones, office manager at SPA. “NetSuite’s powerful customisations and access to information anywhere streamlines our processes and helps us grow.”

Since going live on NetSuite OneWorld, top-line revenue has increased 25 percent at SPA, which produces gift wrapping paper for consumers, as well as branded wrapping paper for footwear and apparel brands such as Prada, Victoria’s Secret and Louis Vuitton. SPA has eliminated the manual process of creating separate sales and purchase orders in MYOB, as NetSuite automatically generates a PO from a sales order, reducing time required by more than one-half. “All our processes have been streamlined, from sales orders to invoicing and fulfillment,” Jones said.

In addition, SPA has greatly improved visibility into key business metrics with customisable NetSuite dashboards and robust reporting and analytics that allow users to drill down from transactions into details. A single source of unified data makes it easy to track trends, identify challenges and opportunities, and continuously optimise the business.

“NetSuite gives us a very powerful reporting and analysis environment,” Jones said. “I’ve set up my dashboard in a way that I can see a cross section of sales performance data — it’s all very intuitive, easy and at my fingertips.”

“SPA is a great example of how organisations in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia can improve business performance with NetSuite”, said Herman Yong, Chief Solution Architect at One Pacific Services, a NetSuite Solution Provider in Hong Kong that implemented OneWorld at SPA.

“We’ve seen soaring demand in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia at large for cloud-based business management software that offers scale and agility not possible with outdated systems,” Herman said. “The results that SPA has seen reflect just how transformational moving to NetSuite is for companies in a range of industries.”

NetSuite OneWorld supports 190 currencies, 20 languages, automated tax calculation and reporting in more than 100 countries, and transactions in more than 200 countries.

Additional benefits that SPA has realised with NetSuite OneWorld include:

  • Multi-currency transactions. NetSuite OneWorld enables SPA to streamline transactions in U.S., Hong Kong and Singapore dollars and the Euro, while Seaman Paper Europe transacts in the Euro and U.S. dollar.
  • International tax compliance. Working with NetSuite Solution Provider Alta Via, the German subsidiary uses NetSuite OneWorld to improve its European Union and Germany tax compliance.
  • Anytime, anywhere cloud access. Ability to access business-critical information in NetSuite OneWorld from anywhere in the world has proven vital to help SPA staff keep their fingers on the pulse of the business while traveling or working remotely.
  • Inventory visibility. SPA has real-time insights into inventory availability at warehouses in Hong Kong, Germany and the U.K., helping it better fulfill orders and manage production volume.
  • CRM capabilities. NetSuite CRM gives SPA sales staff a unified record of all customer account, interaction and order history information to help drive sales and provide a superior customer experience.

Lojas Renner Simplifies Operations with Oracle Retail

Wed, 2017-08-02 10:46
Press Release
Lojas Renner Simplifies Operations with Oracle Retail Largest Brazilian Fashion Retailer Establishes a Foundation for Growth

Redwood Shores, Calif.—Aug 2, 2017

Today, Oracle announced that Brazil's largest fashion retailer, Lojas Renner has deployed Oracle Retail to transforms operations and establishes a foundation for growth. Lojas Renner operates over 470 stores under the Renner, Youcom and Camicado brands. Lojas Renner is simplifying operations and offering a shopping experience to inspire its customers even further and continue to grow.

Over time, each of the brands had selected and customized multiple solutions over the years. This disparate solution landscape made it complicated to upgrade solutions and keep pace with market trends with new innovations. In 2014, Renner embarked on an initiative to modernize technology and implement a standard solution in the primary Lojas Renner brand to drive productivity and efficiency. Renner drew on the talents and Oracle experience of the IT staff and a well-defined management structure to execute the implementation. Renner chose experienced implementation partners, including Logic, to support the transformation at scale.

“We chose modernize and simplify with Oracle Retail to reduce operating and support costs to prepare for Omnichannel in Brazil. This required Renner's processes to be revised to conform to global best practices built into the Oracle solution,” said Emerson Silveira Kuze, Chief Information Officer, Lojas Renner. “This shift in vision allowed Renner to move forward in adopting worldwide standards of efficiency and productivity in its management, while reducing implementation costs and future system upgrades.”

For the success of the project, Renner created a culture of empowerment, alignment and transparency across the entire IT team, business areas, Logic and Oracle to maintain the project schedule. Prior to embarking on the implementation in 2015, Renner laid the plans and mapped out the functional and technical specifications followed by four phases of testing.

“We estimate that less than 5% of the Oracle Retail solution is customized (mainly due to unique issues in Brazil such as legal and tax claims) as compared to 30% of the previous platform. This new scenario will enable the company to make system upgrades more quickly,” said Emerson Silveira Kuze.

“The Brazilian market has nuances that required additional features and functionalities to compete and comply with market regulations. By partnering with multiple Brazilian retailers like Renner, we could truly understand the requirements and incorporate market requirements into our solutions and weave this local experience into our Retail Reference Library,” said Ray Carlin, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Oracle Retail.

Oracle Hospitality Introduces New Data Science Cloud Services to Help Food & Beverage Operators Optimize Every Sale

Tue, 2017-08-01 11:01
Press Release
Oracle Hospitality Introduces New Data Science Cloud Services to Help Food & Beverage Operators Optimize Every Sale Expert Analysis and Machine Learning Enable Improved Menu Optimization and Greater Cost and Inventory Control

Redwood Shores, Calif.—Aug 1, 2017

Empowering food and beverage operators to convert data into profit, Oracle Hospitality today announced Data Science Cloud Services. With the new services, food and beverage operators gain the ability to analyze key information such as sales, guest, marketing and staff performance data at unprecedented speed – generating insights that lead directly to actionable measures that improve their top and bottom lines.

The suite includes two cloud-driven offerings – Oracle Hospitality Menu Recommendations Cloud Service and Oracle Hospitality Adaptive Forecasts Cloud Service – currently available to operators worldwide, enabling them to improve up-sell and cross-sell opportunities, and optimize operations, respectively.

The new Data Science Cloud Services bring Oracle’s renowned machine learning and data-analytics expertise specifically to the food and beverage industry. This, combined with years of hospitality industry knowledge, delivers quick wins for operators, while saving them the significant expense of having to hire their own analysts and invest in a data processing infrastructure. In addition to Oracle technology, Data Science delivers the support of a team of leading data scientists, database engineers and experienced hospitality consultants.

“Margins are being squeezed in hospitality like never before,” said Mike Webster, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Oracle Hospitality. “Labor and food costs are increasing, and competition for the dining dollar is high. With our Data Science Cloud Services, we are giving our customers the ability to be as profitable as possible, by helping them pinpoint cost-savings in each location while optimizing every single sales opportunity to deliver revenue growth.”

Making Every Sale Count with Oracle Hospitality Menu Recommendations Cloud Service

Oracle Hospitality Menu Recommendations Cloud Service allows food and beverage operators with multiple locations to evaluate their menus and identify enhancements to maximize every sales opportunity. The Data Science service can seek the best possible up-sell or cross-sell options by location or time of day, with recommendations dynamically updating based on customer behavior. Assumptions around cross-sells and up-sells can be analyzed, leading to better understanding of guest behavior and preferences.

Speed to value is accelerated, thanks to integration between the Data Science service and the Oracle Hospitality technology platform. Recommendations are available at point-of-service terminals and displayed as localized cross-sells or timed up-sells. Such simplicity enables staff to optimize sales and serve guests without delay or confusion.

Predicting Stock and Labor Needs with Oracle Hospitality Adaptive Forecasts Cloud Service

Oracle Hospitality Adaptive Forecasts lets operators better predict stock and labor needs at every location. The service creates a single forecast by item, location and day part, and factors in weather, events, time of day, day of the week and Net Promoter scores. Such forecasting maintains appropriate levels of inventory and staffing in all business scenarios, helping store managers minimize wasted inventory, lower labor costs and, most importantly, ensure an exceptional guest experience.

For Oracle Hospitality customers, these Advanced Science Cloud Services complement the self-service data access and reporting solutions that are already available, including the InMotion mobile app that provides real-time access to restaurant KPIs and the Reporting and Analytics 9.0 service that was launched in April 2017.

We provide hardware, software, and services that allow our customers to deliver exceptional guest experiences while maximizing profitability. Telecom Brokerage Fuels Rapid Growth with NetSuite

Press Release
Telecom Brokerage Fuels Rapid Growth with NetSuite Master agent nets triple-digit gains in sales productivity and commissionable revenue with move to cloud ERP

SAN MATEO, Calif.—Jul 26, 2017

Oracle NetSuite Global Business Unit, one of the world’s leading providers of cloud-based financials / ERP, HR, Professional Services Automation (PSA) and omnichannel commerce software suites, announced today that TBI (Telecom Brokerage Inc.), the nation's largest master agent and technology services distributor, has continued its rapid growth since graduating to NetSuite from QuickBooks and an industry-specific solution called RPM Telco. TBI relies on NetSuite to run end-to-end processes, spanning financials, quoting, order management, billing, customer relationship management (CRM) and project management. Additionally, NetSuite’s powerful and flexible SuiteCloud development platform has enabled TBI to embed the commissions it receives from carriers and share them with its IT service provider selling partners, all from within the NetSuite platform.

Since implementing NetSuite in July 2014, TBI sales productivity has soared 133 percent. Commissionable revenue has doubled, while the workforce has grown 80 percent to 180 employees. The company has improved efficiency and visibility across the business while strengthening its partnerships.

Founded in 1991, TBI offers enterprise IT solutions in voice, data, internet and cloud from more than 85 carriers, including Verizon, Comcast, AT&T, CenturyLink and Spectrum. As the company grew in a hot IT market, it needed to streamline complex operational processes and become more efficient for its selling partners. TBI evaluated Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, SugarCRM and Salesforce.com before selecting NetSuite as the optimal platform for its next phase of growth.

“Our business has seen explosive growth that’s a byproduct of the sector — but also our ability to adapt to market changes with real-time business intelligence in NetSuite,” said Jeff Newton, VP of Enterprise Sales and IT at TBI. “NetSuite has given us a level of visibility we never envisioned. We can better manage our customers’ experience based on how efficiently orders move through our system.”

TBI initially looked at NetSuite to replace QuickBooks and provide CRM capabilities. It soon realized, however, that it could also move its mission-critical commissioning functions from RPM Telco into a single NetSuite environment. Working with NetSuite Solution Provider Gurus Solutions and the NetSuite SuiteCloud development platform, TBI further customized unique processes within commissioning and its operational support departments. Visibility into commissioning and order tracking is now shared with its selling partners directly in NetSuite’s unified platform.

“It’s a very complex and mission-critical workflow to get commissions to agents. We were effectively putting our business on the line by moving commissioning into NetSuite,” Newton said. “I can say our migration from RPM Telco to NetSuite has made this the most successful technology move TBI has ever undertaken.”

With NetSuite, TBI is now able to continue its rapid growth trajectory. “As we look to grow our business in new sectors and verticals, NetSuite is not a limiting factor whatsoever,” Newton said. “It scales with the business.”

TBI has gained the following benefits since implementing NetSuite:

  • Strong partner relationships. With NetSuite Advanced Partner Center, TBI’s more than 3,000 partner users can track commissions, orders and financial data in NetSuite, as well as run reports, open tickets and troubleshoot issues.
  • Business efficiency. TBI has minimized the inefficient “swivel chair” syndrome of piecing together information across disparate applications, enabling its personnel to focus on customer service and driving sales.
  • Real-time visibility. Reporting and analytics on a single source of data in NetSuite give TBI real-time insights into key business metrics that are critical to continuously optimizing business models and processes.
  • Project management. TBI relies on the NetSuite Project Management module to help manage engagements with IT service provider partners, from planning and contract management through to implementation.
  • Agile and flexible development platform. TBI has taken advantage of the customization capabilities of the NetSuite SuiteCloud Development Platform and NetSuite partner solutions, including HubSpot for marketing automation and 8x8 and Five9 for enterprise contact center, to build an agile cloud ecosystem.

Oracle Monetization Cloud Enables Recurring Revenue Models for Digital Services Providers

Wed, 2017-07-26 07:00
Press Release
Oracle Monetization Cloud Enables Recurring Revenue Models for Digital Services Providers New service complements Oracle ERP Cloud and Oracle Customer Experience Cloud Suite to provide monetization across the customer journey

Redwood Shores, Calif.—Jul 26, 2017

Empowering innovative businesses to launch competitive pricing models in the era of digital commerce, Oracle today announced Oracle Monetization Cloud. The new cloud service accelerates time to market for digital and subscription-based products and services by enabling the full life cycle of customer on-boarding, offer creation, robust rating and discounting, billing, customized invoicing and reporting.

Enterprises are increasingly focused on generating recurring revenues and developing lasting customer relationships by extending from one-time purchases to recurring business models. Agile billing capabilities are required to help digital service providers monetize new offerings and differentiate their services in competitive markets. Oracle Monetization Cloud combines the power of scalable monetization capabilities with the simplicity, agility, and security of Oracle Cloud to accelerate time to market for digital services.

“Subscriptions, demand-based price models, pay-per-use, and increasingly complex agreements with a litany of unique entitlements are now the norm,” said Andrew Dailey, Managing Director of MGI Research.

Across industries and in scenarios ranging from cloud hosting to digital media to the Internet of Things, enterprises and digital service providers are looking to quickly launch new business models to compete in the digital economy. Whether these digital service providers are monetizing connected cars, using sensors to aggregate and monetize data, or transitioning to offering their software as a service, they are undergoing a digital transformation that requires flexible new pricing, billing, revenue management, and real-time subscriber management capabilities.

“In today’s competitive business environment, customers are demanding the power to purchase the products and services that they want, when they want them, at a price point that they can afford,” said Doug Suriano, senior vice president and general manager for Oracle Communications. “Oracle Monetization Cloud enables digital service providers to quickly launch innovative offerings and deliver a positive customer experience while reducing revenue leakage and improving financial reporting and compliance.”

With Oracle Monetization Cloud users benefit from:

  • Full life-cycle capabilities: The service supports the full life-cycle of subscription services, from on-boarding subscribers, to rapidly launching and modifying innovative offerings, to leveraging flexible rating, discounting and billing capabilities, to customizing invoices, to analyzing business performance through robust reporting. These functions are available through intuitive web-based user interfaces so customers can quickly deploy and modify their offerings to meet market demand.
  • Easy integration: Newly developed out-of-the-box connectors and standard web-based SOAP and REST APIs enable customers to integrate easily with front-office and back-office systems, including Oracle, Chase Paymentech and other third party CRM, e-commerce, ERP systems and payment and tax gateways. These simplified integration options speed deployment of the cloud service and thereby accelerate time to market, providing customers with the convenience of continuing to use their existing solutions.
  • Risk and cost reduction: Full compliance and certification with Payment Card Industry (PCI) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as well as support for fully compliant re-invoicing and recognition of seven types of revenue allow customers to reduce risk, combat revenue leakage and ensure audit compliance.
  • Full suite of monetization capabilities: The monetization solution is part of a full platform that spans the customer journey from engaging on social channels to tracking a sales lead to creating and offering innovative services to on-boarding subscribers to rating and billing to revenue recognition and compliance. Oracle is unique in offering an end-to-end suite of best-in-breed cloud services that work together in monetizing the entire journey.

Oracle Significantly Expands Cloud at Customer with PaaS and SaaS Services to Help Customers in their Journey to the Cloud

Wed, 2017-07-19 10:00
Press Release
Oracle Significantly Expands Cloud at Customer with PaaS and SaaS Services to Help Customers in their Journey to the Cloud Delivers unrivaled enterprise-grade public cloud SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS services in customers’ datacenters

Redwood Shores, Calif.—Jul 19, 2017

Empowering organizations to move workloads to the cloud while keeping their data on their own premises, Oracle today announced significant expansion of the breadth of services available through Oracle Cloud at Customer. The portfolio now spans all of the major Oracle PaaS categories and for the first time, also features Oracle SaaS services. Since its introduction just over a year ago, Oracle Cloud at Customer has experienced unprecedented growth with leading global organizations across six continents and more than 30 countries adopting the solution, including AT&T and Bank of America.

Oracle Cloud at Customer is designed to enable organizations to remove one of the biggest obstacles to cloud adoption—data privacy concerns related to where the data is stored. While organizations are eager to move their enterprise workloads to the public cloud, many have been constrained by business, legislative and regulatory requirements that have prevented them from being able to adopt the technology. These first-of-a-kind services provide organizations with choice in where their data and applications reside and a natural path to easily move business critical applications eventually to the public cloud.

“Oracle Cloud at Customer is a direct response to the remaining barriers to cloud adoption and turning those obstacles into opportunities by letting customers choose the location of their cloud services,” said Thomas Kurian, president, product development, Oracle. “We are providing a unique service that enables our customers to leverage Oracle Cloud services, including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS, both on their premises and in our cloud.  Customers gain all the benefits of Oracle’s robust cloud offerings, in their own datacenters, all managed and supported by Oracle.”

Underpinning Oracle Cloud at Customer is a modern cloud infrastructure platform based on converged Oracle hardware, software-defined storage and networking and a first class IaaS abstraction. Oracle fully manages and maintains the infrastructure at customers’ premises so that customers can focus on using the IaaS, PaaS and SaaS services. This is the same cloud infrastructure platform that powers the Oracle Cloud globally.

Based on overwhelming customer demand, Oracle continues to expand the services available via Oracle Cloud at Customer. With today’s news, customers now have access to all of Oracle’s major PaaS categories, including Database, Application Development, Analytics, Big Data, Application and Data Integration, and Identity Management. These services take advantage of specific enhancements that have been made to the underlying Oracle Cloud at Customer platform such as servers with faster CPUs and NVMe-based flash storage, as well as all-flash block storage to deliver even better performance for enterprise workloads.

For the first time, Oracle has also made available via Oracle Cloud at Customer, the ability to consume Oracle SaaS services such as Enterprise Resource Planning, Human Capital Management, Customer Relationship Management, and Supply Chain Management in their own datacenters. These best-in-class, modern applications help unlock business value and increase performance by enabling businesses and people to be more informed, connected, productive, and engaged. Major organizations are already adopting this new option to modernize their key enterprise operations and benefit from the speed of innovation in Oracle SaaS without having to move sensitive application data outside their premises. With the addition of SaaS services to Oracle Cloud at Customer, customers have access to Oracle Cloud services across the entire cloud stack, all delivered in a subscription-based, managed model, directly in their datacenters.

Also, newly available is the Oracle Big Data Cloud Machine, which is an optimized system delivering a production-grade Hadoop and Spark platform with the power of dedicated nodes and the flexibility and simplicity of a cloud offering. Organizations can now access a full range of Hadoop, Spark, and analytics tools on a simple subscription model in their own data centers.

Oracle Cloud at Customer delivers the following Oracle Cloud services:

  • Infrastructure: Provides elastic compute, containers, elastic block storage, object storage, virtual networking, and identity management to enable portability of Oracle and non-Oracle workloads into the cloud.
  • Data Management: Enables customers to use the number one database to manage data infrastructure in the cloud with the Oracle Database Cloud, including Oracle Database Exadata Cloud for extreme performance and Oracle MySQL Cloud.
  • Big Data and Analytics:  Empowers an entire organization to use a single platform to take advantage of any data to drive insights. Includes a broad set of big data cloud services, including Oracle Big Data Cloud Service, Oracle Analytics Cloud, and Oracle Event Hub Cloud.
  • Application Development: Enables organizations to develop and deploy Java applications in the cloud using Oracle Java Cloud, Oracle Application Container Cloud, Oracle Container Cloud, and Oracle WebCenter Portal Cloud.
  • Enterprise Integration: Simplifies integration of on-premises applications to cloud applications, as well as cloud application to cloud application integration using Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle SOA Cloud, Oracle Data Integrator Cloud, Oracle GoldenGate Cloud, Oracle Managed File Transfer Cloud, and Oracle Internet of Things Cloud.
  • Security: Enables organizations to use Oracle Identity Cloud to implement and manage consistent identity and access management policies.
  • Software-as-a-Service: Provides organizations with a complete suite of software to run their businesses, including Oracle ERP Cloud, Oracle CX Cloud, Oracle HCM Cloud, and Oracle Supply Chain Management Cloud.

Customer Demand Drives Expansion of Portfolio

Global organizations are turning to Oracle Cloud at Customer to standardize on a platform to modernize existing infrastructure and develop innovative new applications. Customers including City of Las Vegas, Federacion Colombiana de Municipios, Glintt Healthcare, HCPA, NEC, NTT DATA, Rakuten Card, State University of New York, and State Bank of India are benefitting from Oracle Cloud services from inside their own datacenters.

“The City of Las Vegas is shifting its Oracle application workloads to the Oracle Cloud,” said Michael Sherwood, Director Information Technologies, city of Las Vegas. “By keeping the data in our data center, we retain full control while enabling innovation, gaining efficiencies and building applications to better serve our community.”

“Today, public organizations are constantly innovating to meet the needs of our citizens. For the Colombian Federation of Municipalities, we have decided to digitally transform our territories to become smart cities,” said Alejandro Murillo, CIO of the Colombian Federation of Municipalities. “With Oracle Cloud at Customer, we have the technological capabilities to bring top-level solutions in the cloud to our municipalities, enabling them to operate with more agility and better serve our citizens.”

“Oracle Cloud at Customer provides us with a consolidated solution to make sensitive healthcare data securely available,” said Nuno Vasco Lopes, CEO, Glintt Healthcare Solutions. “The efficient and flexible solution has reduced the total cost of ownership by 18 percent and delivered high customer performance.”

Oracle Cloud at Customer

The Oracle Cloud at Customer portfolio of services enables organizations to get all of the benefits of Oracle’s public cloud services in their datacenters. The business model is just like a public cloud subscription; the hardware and software platform is the same; Oracle experts monitor and manage the infrastructure; and the same tools used in Oracle’s public cloud are used to provision resources on the Oracle Cloud at Customer services. This is the only offering from a major public cloud vendor that delivers a stack that is 100 percent compatible with the public cloud but available on-premises, ensuring that customers get the same experience and the latest innovations and benefits using it in their datacenters as in the public cloud.
