Hi Guys...,
I'm using Oracle 11gR2 with RHEL 5.3 on a standalone machine.., it is Non ASM Database .
Now i have connected Disk Arrays to my machine & want to convert it to ASM database , so that Database start working on Disk Arrays., Is it possible ??
Please let me know the procedure and steps ..,
1. How to install ASM Software, where oracle software already installed on a stand alone and
2. Convert it to ASM database using RMAN..??

please provide the procedure to implement on stand alone machine,,. there is no LAN connections nothing Sir...

The first point is to read the documentation.
First use dbca to create the ASM instance.
Then read and follow:
Database Backup and Recovery Advanced User's Guide
Chapter 16 Migrating Databases To and From ASM with Recovery Manager

Hi,
Michel,the doc that you post link not say how to create asm diskgroup.

And you are unable to search it by yourself in the documentation...
I think you should REALLY investigate in another job, you are not made for this one, I'm sure there are many jobs where you will be fine and happy, but this one is definitively not for you.
