No problem with 1G, as far as I remember the limit is around 1.7G.
There are some notes on Metalink/MOS about Windows memory and SGA and the use of extended memory.

As I said you will find several documents about it on MOS/Metalink.

PGA is not part of the SGA.
Please have a look at Database Concepts

If It is (approx) More than 1.7 GB.
You will get the ORA-27102: out of memory Linux Error: 12: Cannot allocate memory.

Please let us know OS version? 32 bit or 64 bit ?

Why do you think that reposting the same question than in http://www.orafaq.com/forum/m/568358/102589/#msg_568358 you will have a different answer?
Why don't you continue in the your previous topic if you have anything more to add the the previous and close question?

I remember telling Windows administrators to set the /3GB switch in boot.ini, and then the Oracle image (SGA+PGA) can grow to 3G.

Then if they add the /PAE switch to boot.ini as well, and configure AWE (which I think was done in the registry) you can shift your database buffer cache into memory above 4G, with use_indirect_data_buffers=true and db_block_buffers=as_many_as_you_want.

That should give you a few terms to Google. Good luck.
