Hi,

When I created a new oracle database the port number was 1521 (default), but I want to change it to 1522. Please tell me how to do it?

databases do NOT have any port number!

>I want to change it to 1522
WHY?
nothing is gained by using a different numbered port.

The listener file contains the port number. With the port number 1522, a software named 'RCU' (Repository Creation Utility) has been installed. So they want the same port number 1522 not 1521.

Just change 1521 to 1522 everywhere it appears.

Note: you do NOT create a database on a port.

Can you answer this question: when will you read the documentation and avoid waste our time with questions that should not be posted, at least by people that have more than 2 neurons between the ears? But maybe this is not your case, given your 10 last topics, I doubt, can you reassure me?

Regards
Michel
