Hi All,

We are using Data Guard for Data Replication of one of a production DB.

When I configure the DR I executed the below command.

STARTUP

Which then opened in MOUNT Mode.

Actually we should do as below.

startup nomount
ALTER DATABASE MOUNT STANDBY DATABASE

So how to get rid of this issue.

Thanks

Hi Michel,

First kindly tell me, whether Am I made any mistake by that step?

Secondly, because of that, starting the DB, directly going in MOUNT mode rather than NOMOUNT.

Where we do fire the command of ALTER DATABASE MOUNT STANDBY DATABASE.

Thanks

It does not matter, Oracle is smart enough to mount the DB in the correct mode.
Did you read the documentation?
